Facelift Surgery, Long Island NY
A facelift is a type of facial rejuvenation procedure, designed to treat the mid to lower face and neck region in both men and women. During surgery, muscles are tightened and excess fat and skin are removed, resulting in a more youthful and refreshed appearance.
On average, patients report seeing a ten-year reduction in their perceived age after surgery. A facelift does not change the fundamental structure of your face, nor will it prevent you from continuing to age. Instead, you will continue to age from a more youthful version of yourself.

Frequently Asked Questions About Facelift Surgery
Can I combine other procedures with my Facelift?
It is also common to combine other surgical and non-surgical procedures to obtain optimal results. For example, many patients will continue to receive routine Botox and facial fillers after healing from their surgery to further slow the natural aging process. It’s also common to combine a facelift with a brow lift and/or eyelid lift to correct sagging or deeply furrowed brows and rejuvenate aging eyes. This is important to note because a facelift does not address either the brow or eyelid region.
Who is an ideal candidate?
Ideal candidates for a facelift include:
- Women or men who want to retain or restore a youthful, natural appearance to the face
- Non-Smokers
- People in reasonably good health who have realistic expectations
- The best facelift results can be achieved in patients who have some elasticity remaining
What type of anesthesia is required & how long will my surgery last?
General anesthesia or IV sedation is used for a facelift, and surgery can last between three to five hours.
